Queen Amidala - Pre-senate Kimono by Thecrystalshoe Queen Amidala - Pre-senate Kimono by Thecrystalshoe
Queen Amidala pre-senate kimono from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

The gown consists of an outer kimono and two undertunics. It took me about 4 months of work, 18 yards of fabric (including the lining of all three layers), 40 yards of gold thread and 1500 pearls hand embroidered to the sleeves, 35 meters of rolled hem strings, handmade textured fabric, and thousands of beads for the headdress (aprox 500 gr.), which is made of beads hand embroidered to pieces of bridal lace and 50 bead/pearl strings made one by one for the veil. The head piece is made entirely out of pvc modeled with heat, rhinestones and synthetic hair for the fan.

Go back in the night and have the photographer front fill with flash but gel behind the columns with red and blue gels for a more gritty realistic looking shot.
